Allison turns ONE!

Allison's favorite part of her birthday was definitely the cake! She had her own little heart-shaped cake with cream frosting and pink sugar. She tenatively ate some frosting first, but then once she realized there was cake under there she dug in with both hands and pulled up fistfuls. She actually wasn't too messy with it. After the cake she had a lot to say; I think the sugar loosened her lips. Here are some of the words she can say, even though some of them are hard to distinguish:
  • mama
  • dada
  • grandma
  • grandpa
  • binky boo
  • peek a boo
  • night night
  • uh-oh
  • moo
  • duck
  • quack
  • baa
  • oink
  • kitty
  • meow

Jumping on the bed

On Thanksgiving Julia and my cousin Emily disappeared upstairs and spent some time bouncing on the bed. Julia's Uncle Steve captured this picture mid bounce.

She can see!

Allison got her glasses just before Thanksgiving. When I first tried to put them on, they accidentally snapped on her face and she started bawling. I tried them on again and as soon as she looked through them she immediately stopped crying and started to laugh. She sat on my lap for a while and just looked around the room. She doesn't try to take them off and really seems to enjoy having them on. This was taken about a half hour after she first tried them on and you can see how happy she is.

11 months old

Yesterday was Allison's 11 month birthday. Here are some pictures. In the top one you can see her two bottom teeth if you look closely. You can see her reading her book and playing pat-a-cake with Julia.

Allison's 9 Month Pictures

These are just a few of the pictures we had taken of Allison when she turned 9 months. I have a few of these sepia and black and white toned pictures that are cute. More later!

Flower Girl

Julia had her hair done for Shara's wedding. She had picked out her heart shaped tiara months before, but we hadn't been able to find it since we moved. Luckily, after going through every last box, we found it and she was able to wear it. She loved her hair done up like this and it lasted the whole night long!

Badger Baby

We had a hard time getting our little Badger cheerleader to sit still for pictures, but luckily big sister was there to help out! She wasn't too excited about getting her picture taken, but the outfit wasn't going to fit much longer.

Getting Started

Hi there! I wanted to have an easy way to share pictures, stories and other information about our family. Hopefully I'll keep up with this, so come back often!
